Residential property prices in Dubai decreased 9.9 per cent in August as compared to the same period of 2014, a report said.

The Dubai Residential Property Sales Price Index for all residential decreased by 2.0 points, from 267.4 to 265.4, which represents a decrease of 0.75 per cent in August, explained Reidin, a leading real estate information company focusing on UAE, Turkey and other emerging countries.

Apartment sales prices registered a decrease in August. Prices decreased 0.55 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) and also decreased 10.4 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y).

Villa sales prices registered a decreased in August. Prices decreased 1.45 per cent m-o-m and also decreased 8.0 per cent y-o-y.

Residential property prices in Dubai rental market increased by 0.8 points, from 101.5 to 102.3, which represents an increase of 0.76 per cent in August. On the other hand, rental prices decreased 1.4 per cent y-o-y.

Apartment rental prices show an increase on m-o-m basis in August. Prices increased 1.00 per cent m-o-m but decreased 1.1 per cent y-o-y.

Villa rental prices registered a decrease on m-o-m basis in August. Prices decreased 0.61 per cent m-o-m and also decreased 2.9 per cent y-o-y.

Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Residential Property Price Index for all residential decreased by 0.1 points, from 82.5 to 82.4, which represents a decrease of 0.17 per cent in August. On the other hand, prices decreased 3.0 per cent y-o-y.

Apartment sales prices registered a decrease in August. Prices decreased 0.46 per cent m-o-m and also decreased 3.7 per cent y-o-y.

Villa sales prices registered an increase in August 2015. Prices increased 0.14 per cent m-o-m but decreased 2.0 per cent y-o-y.

Residential property prices in Abu Dhabi rental market decreased by 0.1 points, from 66.1 to 66.0, which represents a decrease of 0.23 per cent in August. On the other hand, prices increased 0.5 per cent y-o-y.

Apartment rental prices registered a decrease in August. Prices decreased 0.22 per cent m-o-m and also decreased 0.8 per cent y-o-y.
