Civic projects in 80 Saudi cities approved

Tendering of 182 civic projects worth a total of SR1.77 billion ($471 million) in 80 cities in Saudi Arabia has been approved, a report said.

The projects include the construction and maintenance of roads, flyovers and underpasses, pedestrian bridges, streetlights and beautification of gateways to cities and governorates, added Saudi Gazette, which cited Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Riyadh province topped the list with projects worth a total of SR286 million, which is followed by Asir with SR252 million, Qassim SR188 million, Tabuk SR173 million and Jazan SR160 million. Al-Jouf and Ahsa each have projects valued at SR108 million.

Projects in Makkah are worth SR90.3 million and Najran will get projects worth SR60.5 million, the report said.
