Abu Dhabi invites bids for car parking projects

ABU DHABI, June 14, 2015

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has invited developers to submit proposals for car parking projects across the UAE’s capital city based on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) investment model.

The facilities will be part of the municipality’s smart parking initiative to create an integrated car parking project, alleviating congested areas of the city, said a statement from the top civic body.

They primarily aim to provide high-intensity parking solutions, convenience retail, in addition to offering space for offices and affordable housing, it said.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has called upon each investor to submit financial and technical proposals for one or more of the three project sites.

All the projects will be executed under a Musataha contract, which entitles developers to benefit from the land and facilities for 32 years following which their ownership will be revert to the municipality, said the statement.

The last date for submitting the bids is August 4, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
