Zubair project ... a big win for Ergil.

Ergil completes storage tank project for Zubair

BAGHDAD, June 11, 2015

Turkish-based Ergil, a leading storage tank company, has completed engineering, design, material supply and fabrication work for, Zubair, the largest oil field in Iraq, a report said.

Rafidain Oil Services Company (Rosco), part of the Jurmat Group Of Companies, has awarded Ergil a contract for  a number of  dome roof flow tanks for Zubair Degassing Station, Hamar Degassing Station and Rafidiya Degassing Station, according to Iraq Business News.

The Zubair project, the licence for which has been given to an Eni-led consortium, includes refurbishment of the existing plant, the report said.

Ergil was given the contract to design, manufacture and fabricate dome roof flow tanks and flow tank degasser units.

“Having already established itself in the Iraq region, this project is a feather in the cap of Ergil as it is able to utilize the experience it has in this region,” Riza Altunergil, vice president of Commerce, Ergil was quoted as saying.

“Furthermore, it has been successful in turning this opportunity into a business achievement for the organization as well as for its partner, Rosco, a Jordanian company specializing in the oil and gas sector, and which has been awarded EPC contract work for Installation of new flow tanks,” Altunergil added.
