Alijarah project .... likely to take two years for completion.

Alijarah, ITOC ink deal to develop industrial land

DOHA, March 30, 2015

Alijarah Holding, a leading Qatari shareholding company, and ITOC have signed an agreement to develop a 100,000-sq-m plot of land at Industrial Area in Doha, said a report.

With this, Alijarah will bolster its capacity by providing support services to its subordinating companies, added The Peninsula report.

The project, which is estimated to take 24 months to complete, will see a number of facilities built at a cost of QR125 million ($34.3 million), the report said.

They include the administrative building of Al Nasr Driving Schools, a fully-owned subsidiary of Alijarah Holding, training paths, lecture halls and reception desks as well as warehouses, a mosque, playgrounds, restaurants and a labour camp.

“This comes as a step in the right direction of supporting Alijarah’s different projects by providing a base of multi-logistic services, optimising the use of resources and development capabilities of the company,” Sheikh Falah bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani, director of Alijarah Holding, was quoted as saying in the report.

The Industrial Area enjoys easy access to all key areas as it is close to the main roads, which makes it suitable for the project, he added.

“This is a multi-use project and the executive management of the company will spare no effort to make sure that it gets completed within the set time frame,” said Hamad Sharif Al Emadi, CEO, Alijarah Holding.
