Byrne sets up temporary facilities for Dubai golf event
DUBAI, February 5, 2015
Byrne Equipment Rental, a leading equipment rental firms in the region, said it supported golf in DUBAi in setting up various facilities for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic held recently at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, UAE.
golf in DUBAi was set up in 2005 to promote Dubai as one of the world's leading golfing destinations and to underline the emirate's other international attractions to a worldwide audience.
The company promotes and organises major European Tour events - the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters in the emirate.
Byrne provided more than 5,000 sq m of temporary buildings, including bespoke sponsorship hospitality lounges, the European Tour offices, restaurants, catering areas, and retail space to the tournament known as the ‘Major of the Middle East’, said the company in a statement.
The full catalogue of equipment and services Byrne delivered to golf in DUBAi covered the entire Omega Dubai Desert Classic site. It included power generators along with several kilometres of cabling, marshals’ cabins, temporary offices, lighting towers, high quality toilet facilities, golf ball cleaning units, a mosque and ticket booths, it added.
Mohamed Juma Buamaim, the vice-chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, said: "The temporary hospitality areas supplied have a feel of anything but temporary, they look and perform like permanent structures and are fitted out to the highest standards."
"In addition we receive a huge amount of logistical support from Byrne such as the provision of the floating pontoon, where a Mercedes GL500 is placed during our tournaments, the setting up of our sponsor branding, managing a host of other subcontractors and responding to our many other operational requirements on a daily basis," he added.
Byrne chief operating officer Pat Fallon said the success of the presentation of the event is built on the longstanding relationship it has with golf in DUBAi.
"After the completion of our initial formal five-year supply agreement last year, we were delighted to renew that contract and continue to build on our past success together," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
