Etihad invites bids for Abu Dhabi cargo terminal

ABU DHABI, February 2, 2015

UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from design-and-build consortiums for the construction of a new cargo terminal within the east midfield of Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE.

The 400,000-sq-m facilities to be built in phases will enable Etihad Airways Cargo, the cargo division of the UAE airline, to handle more than 2.5 million tonnes by 2025.

The cargo facilities, to be built on land leased from Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC), are expected to commence operations in 2017.

Expressions of interest must be submitted by February 15.-TradeArabia News Service
