Misa clinches Saudi mixed-use project deal

RIYADH, December 14, 2014

Maytas Infra Saudi Arabia (Misa) has won a contract from Saudi Binladin Group for structural and concreting works on Abraj Kudai Project-P1360 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, said a report.

The SR290.27-million ($77.45 million) contract is expected to be completed in 32 months, reported the Economic Times.

Misa is a subsidiary of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company, a leading infrastructure development, construction and project management company, based in India.

Misa’s scope of work involves supply, delivery, installation, supervision, as built, and handing over of structural and reinforcement concrete works for two 230-m towers - 2A and 3A, said the report.

Abraj Kudai is a mixed-use development at Manafia in Makkah's central zone. Being built on a total site area of 60,000 sq m and involviing a total built-up area of around 1.4 million sq m, the project is a residential and commercial complex that consists of a large podium topped by 12 towers.

The podium features a bus station, a shopping mall, restaurants and food courts, a convention centre and car parks.

Misa said it recently commenced work on road drainage for Phase One of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport development project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.-TradeArabia News Service
