Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading urban developers in Bahrain, announced the completion of land reclamation works for the entire project located off Muharraq.

With the land reclamation work of Diyar Al Muharraq concluded, the shore protection rock armour work is near completion and is expected to be finished by the first quarter of 2015, a statement said.

Diyar Al Muharraq assigned the joint venture company Great Lakes Nass for the reclamation and shore protection services for the project. The work started in November 2006 and the reclamation for the project was achieved well on target, according to the statement.

Dr Maher Al Shaer, chief executive officer of Diyar Al Muharraq said: “This is a milestone for Diyar Al Muharraq as years of effort and perseverance have brought us to this point wherein a vital and enormous part of the project has been completed well within the stipulated time. We recognise the significance of the enormous efforts taken by Great Lakes Nass during this critical period and convey our genuine appreciation to them.”
