HBA .... to boost its presence in the Middle East, its second biggest growth market.

Cherry Brown clinches HBA office fit-out contract

DUBAI, October 21, 2014

Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), a leading hospitality design company, has roped in UAE-based Cherry Brown Interiors for the turn key fit-out of its new UAE office in Dubai.

All the necessary elements of the work at the new facility at iRise Tower in Tecom are being managed by one fit-out contractor.

The Middle East is the second biggest growth market for HBA, with the company's revenue jumping by 50 per cent over the last two years, accounting for almost 10 per cent of its total global revenue, said a statement from the company.

HBA hopes to maintain and surpass this success and will continue to retain and expand top talent to deliver projects of superior quality in the region, it added.

HBA said it has completed several prestigious projects in the UAE, including, the Grand Hyatt Spa refurbishment and the new Al Manzil living room concept in Dubai both of which earned HBA Dubai recent awards, the refurbishment of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates lobby, the St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, and the St Regis Nations Towers in Abu Dhabi.

Upcoming projects in the region include the Grand Hyatt Makkah in Saudi Arabia, the Saraya Aqaba Resort in Jordan and the Harbor Point Development in Lagos, Nigeria. Projects in sub-Sahara Africa are also planned for the near future.

"The team at HBA Dubai is very much looking forward to moving into our new offices. It will be a fresh start, reinforcing the emergence of the new HBA Dubai as enlivened by my recent appointment as head of office," stated HBA Partner, David T’Kint.

HBA had recently announced the launch of its award-winning studio division in the UAE and the wider Middle East to offer interior design solutions for the growing mid-tier hospitality sector.

Catering to small and medium-sized hotels, Studio HBA will offer cutting edge, stylish design solutions tempered within the paramount constraints of schedule and budget.

Studio HBA is a single-source solution provider for a large client base of local owners and developers desiring cutting-edge, stylish design tempered with the paramount constraints of schedule and budget

Illuminate, a custom lighting consultancy, was recently launched in Dubai under HBA to service the Middle East. Illuminate designers work directly with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and end clients on a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

Cherry Brown Interiors said it will work with Studio HBA's design and architectural team to complete the new office fit-out and to be ready by November.

Sandeep Balakrishnan, the director of Cherry Brown Interiors, said: “Studio HBA's office project is a significant step for us, especially after going through some of the world class designs by Studio HBA which are built across the world."

"Being awarded this contract is a true testament to Cherry Brown Interiors' skills and expertise in the fit-out industry, specifically our experience working with high profile clients," noted Balakrishnan.

"We are also pleased to be a part of the expansion plans of HBA to cater to the Middle Eastern market. It's a great win for Cherry Brown to be able to support their office which will cater to the plans for unique designs in UAE and Middle East," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
