Doble ..... expanding its global footprint.

Doble Engineering opens new Dubai office

MASSACHUSSETS, October 21, 2014

Doble Engineering, a global leader of diagnostic test solutions and consulting and testing services, has expanded its global footprint by opening a new office in Dubai, UAE.

A company owned by Esco Technologies, Doble said the office will offer the company's full consulting and testing services, as well as sales and technical support for its suite of diagnostic test equipment.

The company is now positioned to provide more robust educational programmes and training, as demand grows. Currently, Doble products are distributed through 20 channel partners in the region.

"Our customers in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) are doing exciting work to meet fast-rising demands for electric power and supporting those customers is a top priority for Doble," stated its president David Zabetakis.

"We have worked with clients in Mena for decades and are now able to deepen our support in a region where needs are growing due to the rich diversity of market segments, requiring reliable high capacity source of electricity. As the regional market grows in complexity, the need to maintain critical assets and support the education of local engineers develops too,"  remarked Zabetakis.

In addition to its full product portfolio, Doble brings several critical consulting and testing services, namely, marque services such as asset health reviews (AHR) to help companies manage transformer fleet reliability, while ensuring maximum safety and avoiding costly failures.

In congress with the new Dubai office, and following noted success in the US and Europe, Doble will be bringing its industry-leading Life of a Transformer conference to the Middle East for the first time.

The training seminar provides electric power professionals with the most up-to-date information on how transformers are designed, how to manage critical health risks and how to effectively analyse data provided by test equipment.

The conference will run from January 18 to 21, 2015, with an optional fifth day for laboratory diagnostics training, and an agenda that considers the specific needs of the region.

Located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Doble Engineering JLT has been established as a limited liability company in Dubai and is currently open for business.

Mourad Hamdi, the general manager of the Middle East office, will be running day-to-day operations at Doble JLT.

Hamdi joined Doble Engineering Company in August 2012, with more than nine years of experience in the transformer and switchgear manufacturing and utility sectors.-TradeArabia News Service
