Bahrain road project work on track

The Bahrain Ministry of Works has announced that the Busaiteen roads network project was progressing well with over 50 per cent of paving work completed till date.

The BD495,153 ($1.3 million) project, which commenced in April, aims to serve 645 residential units in the area and connect it to the roads network, said a statement from the ministry.

The work includes asphalt paving at Road 2830 and environs at 3.6 km long. Once the project gets completed, the total percentage of paved roads in Busaiteen 228 will reach 82.8 per cent, revealed Fathi Al Fari’a, the Acting Roads & Maintenance projects director.
 
Under the project, limited storm water drainage networks, lighting, traffic safety works and related civil works will be implemented, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
