Alerton launches new Ascent BMS in UAE
Dubai, June 16, 2014
Alerton, a US-based building automation and control systems pioneer which is a part of global technology and manufacturing leader Honeywell International, has launched its new Ascent Building Management System in the UAE.
The innovative solution is developed to help building owners better monitor and manage their heating and cooling related energy use, said a statement.
The new Ascent system will be distributed through Bahri & Mazroei Technical Systems (BMTS), a leading buildings systems' integrator in the UAE, under Bahri & Mazroei Group, a provider in the Gulf catering to building and infra-development segments.
The Ascent system comprises three products designed from the ground-up for ease of use and consistency across control systems: Ascent Microset 4 wall sensor; Ascent Control Module global controller; and Ascent Compass software.
The product suite is designed to simplify monitoring and control of HVAC systems, and will offer an open protocol for integration with other building systems, including lighting; security/access control; fire and life safety; elevators and escalators; irrigation; and specialised needs such as emergency and critical systems monitoring in hospitals, and tenant billing for leased spaces in office buildings.
Alerton is a leader in the US in manufacturing building automation and management solutions for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment for all types and sizes of structures.
It offers a product line based on BACnet, the building industry standard for open system interoperability.
Dilip Sinha, regional general manager of Honeywell ECC, said: “We rolled out the new Ascent Building Management System globally. We are happy to introduce this solution in the Dubai and Northern Emirates market along with BMTS, which is part of our global independent dealer network to provide solid service and support that is second to none.”
“The Ascent is an easy-to-use and flexible automation Building Management System, which is suitable for a single building or an entire campus. The system is the first to combine in a single controller the industry standard BACnet protocol and Tridium’s Niagara Framework for more effective integration of multiple building systems,” he added.
Esam R Al Mazroei, managing director of the Bahri & Mazroei Group, said: “We are pleased to promote Alerton’s Ascent building management system in the UAE. This innovative solution is developed to provide unparalleled potential for monitoring and controlling numerous building systems from a single platform, which allows us to cater to our target customer group.” - TradeArabia News Service
