DAT plays key role in Riyadh Metro project
Riyadh, June 10, 2014
DAT instruments, an Italian specialist in the design and production of instruments and software used in special foundation jobs, said it has supplied one of its key instruments, dataloggers, for the giant Riyadh Metro Project.
The key focus area of the company includes piling, jetgrouting, CFA, diaphragm walls, drilling, grout injection, soil mixing, vibroflotation, Lugeon tests, mineral investigation.
DAT Instruments said in a major project like the Riyadh Metro, there is lot of geological study involved mainly with focus on soil permeability as the construction of the tunnels and all the stations are beneath the stratum level.
The Italian firm is supplying products, both standard and custom made, to help the developers of the Riyadh Metro project undertake key soil permeability and double packer tests.
The company is using its key Lugeon/Lefranc Test datalogger, The Jet DSP 100/IR, to understand in real time and record water flow, pressure and final volume, said the company in its statement.
Data, which are fundamental for performing both accurate design construction of all tunnels and all the stations, are extracted from the Italian company’s dataloggers.
The Jet DSP 100/IR, also available for cement injections application, is a specifically designed for Lugeon and Lefranc Tests, with the purpose soil permeability coefficient, it stated.
It records three main parameters: pressure, flow and volume related to the test. The datalogger displays these parameters in real time directly on its screen in the very test section.
The stored data are then transferred on to a PC for final report filing and printing, in order to access to the daily summary information related to the injections and/or to export data in Excel spreadsheets.
All data are stored in the datalogger internal memory and are elaborated with DAT instruments JET S 104 Software.-TradeArabia News Service
