Omran seeks consultants for expo centre project

Oman’s tourism development and investment agency has invited bids from GCC-based consultants for supervision of its ambitious Convention Centre project, said a report.

The other works to be supervised include a 450-seater secondary auditorium, two ballrooms with associated food service areas, a food court, 20 meeting rooms of various sizes and equipped with hitech audio-visual systems, general administration areas, roads, car parks and landscaping works, reported the Oman Tribune.

Omran has invited bids from international consultants registered in any of the GCC countries for supervision of work at the main auditorium that would have a seating capacity of 3,100, the report added.

Once the work get started on the convention centre get started it is expected to be over in 24 months. The last date for submission of the tender is July 3, it added.
