UDC acting chief executive quits

Doha, June 2, 2014

United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pear-Qatar, said its acting chief executive officer Badr Al-Meer has stepped down from the post.

The company said its chairman Turki Al Khater will temporarily undertake the duties of managing director, until a permanent CEO is appointed.

In a press statement, UDC said that the company’s board has approved Al Meer’s request to conclude his mandate as acting CEO effective from June 1.

In line with these decisions, Al Meer sent a farewell letter to all UDC staff thanking them for their co-operation during his tenure as acting CEO and announcing his plans to return to his former position within Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport.
 
The board of directors thanked Al Meer for his efforts throughout the period of his service wishing him more success in his future endeavours.-TradeArabia News Service
