Minister receives Hyder Consulting team

Bahrain's Minister of Works Eng Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office a delegation from Hyder Consulting, who supervised the implementation of North Manama Causeway Project.
The visit comes on the occasion of the project winning the 'Project of the Year Prize 2014' in the GCC Roads and Transportation sector, said a statement.
The delegation presented the minister with two commemorative paintings of the project.
The meeting was attended by Hyder Consulting's Bahrain office manager Ghazi Ling, and the company’s chief of traffic engineering team Hosam Mohammed. Present from the Ministry of Works were the Undersecretary Eng Waleed Al Saei, Roads Assistant Undersecretary Eng Huda Fakhro, Roads Projects and Maintenance director Eng Raed Al Salah, the Roads Planning & Design director Eng Kadhim Abdul Latif, the Minister’s advisor for Roads and Traffic Affairs Eng Abdul Nabi Al Sabah and director Dr Ahmed Mitwali.
The minister welcomed the delegation and commended their efforts in the North Manama Project, and their high level of expertise in the field of engineering in the Middle East.
The BD98.159 million North Manama Causeway is considered to be the biggest infrastructure project in Bahrain. The causeway is 1.42 km long and is the longest local causeway, said the statement. -TradeArabia News Service
