Cluttons wins FM contract for top Bahrain project
Manama, April 27, 2014
Cluttons, a leading real estate consultant, has won a contract to provide facilities management (FM), leasing and tenant liaison services at a major retail development in Amwaj Islands, a popular man-made island development in Bahrain.
The Lagoon lies at the heart of Amwaj Island, and is comprised of over 55,000 sq m of commercial retail space. This precinct appeals to the growing appetite of tenants in search of new, high quality, well located developments close to expanding residential communities.
Harry Goodson-Wickes, head of Cluttons Bahrain, said: “We are delighted to win this significant instruction which demonstrates our strength in the market at a time when our new brand direction has recently been unveiled.”
“The Lagoon has become an integral part of Amwaj, supported by real demand. A number of leasing transactions have recently taken place within the Lagoon, providing us with a strong indication of the rental tone for the development as a whole. There are a few remaining units available but we expect to reach full occupancy shortly,” he added.
Tenants that acquire property at the precinct will become part of a world-class retail destination that is driving demand on the islands from medium to long term. The rectangular plot contains buildings and walkways that extend around the perimeter.
The Lagoon is perfectly designed to cater for visitors all year round; with stunning landscaping and shaded canopies. The location has proved to be very popular with food and beverage retailers, with the majority of units benefiting from an outdoor terrace area.
Located just off Muharraq Island, home to Bahrain’s international airport and the main seaport terminal, and close proximity to the Main Island and capital city of Manama, The Lagoon supports the local population and attracts visitors from all over Bahrain. – TradeArabia News Service
