UAE fit-out firm gets high-end rebrand

Macair, one of the UAE’s leading interiors fit-out and mechanic electrical and plumbing (MEP) and hard landscaping contractors, has rebranded as Plafond Fit-out as part of its re-focus strategy.
The company, which is part of the an Emirates Group company, moves its main business activity into high-end bespoke interiors projects.
Forming part of the Transguard Group of companies, both Macair and Plafond have had strong brand presence in their respective markets her for over 10 years, but going forward the company sees the demand for high quality interiors, particularly in the hotel, leisure and commercial sectors, as driving their business growth.
One of Plafond’s more luxurious ongoing hospitality projects is the five-star Palazzo Versace Dubai, which involves a complete fit out of the 218 rooms which is to be completed by September 2014.
“The Plafond name has a very good reputation in the UAE and wider GCC region and has delivered some outstanding projects, including major five-star hotel fit-outs and a number of hi-end finish, airline and airport projects,” remarked John Nolan, the deputy managing director of Transguard Group.
“We see this side of the company growing rapidly and, while our MEP business will always be an intrinsic part of the business, we feel that the name ‘Plafond’ - which means ‘ceiling’ in French - better represents the ambitions of the company and the projects we will focus on moving forward,” he added.
