United Development appoints new CEO

Doha, April 18, 2012

Qatar-based United Development Company (UDC), he master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and a major publicly traded shareholding company, has appointed Ebrahim Mubarak Al-Sulaiti as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

The appointment, which was approved by the Board of Directors today (April 17), will see Al Sulaiti serve under the leadership of a newly appointed Executive Committee formed by the UDC Board.

“I am proud to welcome Ebrahim Mubarak Al-Sulaiti as CEO of United Development Company,” said UDC chairman Hussain Ibrahim Alfardan.

“As we move into a new phase of consolidation and growth, his background in engineering and business will ensure UDC is continuing its trajectory under wise stewardship. United Development Company will benefit from his years of experience managing at an operation that is a model in the financial industry.”

Prior to his role as CEO of UDC, Al Sulaiti worked as general manager, general services and special projects at Qatar National Bank (QNB).

Al-Sulaiti has a degree in Architecture from the University of Miami, Florida. – TradeArabia News Service
