The new Bahrain Expo City project at Sakhir is expected to be completed within three years, said the Kingdom's Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro.

The joint committee of Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company is regularly meeting to follow up on the project's developments and technical details, paving the way to present it to the Kingdom's senior officials, he told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej on Friday.

Phase one of the project will approximately cost $385 million, with economic viability indicating an annual investment return of nearly 14 per cent, the minister has earlier told the paper.-TradeArabia News Service
