More than 350 experts in concrete technology will take part in a major conference being held under the theme “Concrete of the 21st Century” in December, in Dubai.

Future Concrete 2011, the 2nd international conference and exhibition, will be held at the Ritz Carlton-Dubai International Financial Center from December 12-14.

The event follows the success of the first conference held in Doha-Qatar, said organiser ACTS.

“ACTS initiates Future Concrete 2011 to incorporate into our threatened world modern techniques of innovative concrete practices and advanced construction  material technologies that we can apply for a safer environment,” said a statement.

The event will also bring out scientific studies and applications of Carbon Accounting, Smart Construction, Concrete Engineering and Sustainability Standards.

Renowned scientists and international speakers will share their knowledge and expertise with multinational attendees and will have an opportunity to publicise their scientific contributions, it said.

The event will include lectures, open discussions, ACI training and certification, workshops, a comprehensive exhibition area, poster sessions, etc.  – TradeArabia News Service
