ACC JV to build India's tallest tower

Arabian Construction Company (ACC), in a joint venture with Simplex Infrastructures, has won a contract to construct India's tallest tower, World One in Mumbai.
World One, with its 117 storeys, will also be the second tallest residential building in the world upon completion in 2015, standing at 442 metres.
With amenities including 270 degree views, private pools, home theatre lounges, outdoor Jacuzzis, World One is set to be one of the most sought after luxury living destinations in the country. The completed tower will also include an 18,000 sqm elevated park, and an Observatory Lounge positioned 305m (1,000 ft) above the ground.
The tower was designed by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners (formerly I. M. Pei & Partners), a renowned architectural firm based in New York.
The developer for the project, Lodha Developers, is India’s leading real estate developer for residential and commercial properties, responsible for some of the tallest structures in India.
“ACC brings unique knowledge of high rise construction and global best practices and Simplex provides significant capability and resources in the Indian context. We believe that this JV is best suited to build independent India's most iconic building,” stated Abhisheck Lodha, managing director, Lodha Group.
