Etisalat Facilities Management (EFM) said it has won a key electro-mechanical and civil engineering facilities maintenance services contract from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre based in the UAE capital.
A member of Abu Dhabi-based Etisalat Services Holding, EFM said it will be utilising key technologies in maintenance, especially the Computer Maintenance Management Software Maximo - SP and the Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) Technology for the maintenance of the mosque and its facilities.
A three years agreement was signed in this connection by Mohammed Khoori, director of Support Services Department at the Centre and Mustafa Ahmed Al Ateek, general manager of EFM at a ceremony held at the Centre in Abu Dhabi.
"Etisalat Facilities Management was selected based on a detailed technical offer that was submitted by EFM to run and maintain the facilities of the Grand Mosque using the latest technologies and methods," said Khoori.
"The centre will be liaising with Etisalat FM on daily basis to make sure that all the Grand Mosque facilities are running smoothly," he added.
Mustafa Al Ateek said, "It is a great responsibility for us and we will put all efforts to make sure that the facilities are run to the highest standards in such an important religious monument that became an important tourist destination in the UAE."
