Neptune, one of Australia’s leading providers of engineered solutions to oil and gas, marine and renewable energy industries, has picked up AlMansoori Specialized Engineering as its UAE agent.

AlMansoori, founded in Abu Dhabi in 1977, is a leading provider of oilfield services in the Middle East. With a workforce of 1300, AlMansoori is now present in 19 countries.

Neptune recently carried out a ROV-based pipeline inspection survey and free span rectification program for RAK Petroleum in Oman.

Additionally, it has successfully completed the first phase of a three-year contract for Qatargas, encompassing the inspection of platforms, offshore pipelines and subsea connection facilities.

Under the terms of the contract, Neptune provided a DP2 vessel, together with a range of services including ROVs, hydrographic survey, air diving and pipeline stabilisation.

“The scope of work illustrates the intrinsic value of Neptune's ability to provide clients with specifically customised and project managed solutions,” Benoit added.

Building on this established presence, Neptune said it was eager to introduce its patented Nepsys dry underwater welding repair method to the Middle East.

'Ideally suited to the repair of jacket structures and pipelines as part of a life extension programme, Nepsys can also be used for subsea modification work,' Benoit explained.

'It presents a clear advantage in terms of cost and impact on operations when compared to more conventional welding methods such as hyperbaric chambers,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
