GAM to award tenders for key park project

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has announced that tender for the second phase of King Abdullah II park project in Al-Mogabalain will be awarded next month.
The second phase includes the infrastructural works, such as rain water drainage systems, sewerage, electricity networks and lighting, in addition to establishing playgrounds, garages, corridors, and some buildings and auditoriums, said Mohammad Al Kharabsheh, director of the Supervision and Projects Department.
Twelve qualified contactors will bid for the tender, the GAM official added.
According to Kharabsheh, the first phase of the project, which included external walls made of stone and concrete, main and subsidiary gateways, has been completed at a cost of JD2.1 million ($2.95 million).
The main phase also included water harvest tank with a capacity of 12,000 m3, sedimentation tanks, pump rooms, and a fresh water tank with a capacity of 1200 m3.
Kharabsheh pointed out that these tanks will cover most of the water major needs in the garden location and irrigation works.-TradeArabia News Servce
