Damac backs Mena real estate event

Dubai, October 5, 2010

Damac Properties, a leading Dubai-based developer, sponsored the recently concluded inaugural Middle East North Africa Real Estate Society (Menares) conference in Dubai.

Held at the American University, Dubai on October 3 and 4, the first annual Menares conference themed ‘surviving the storm, emerging stronger’, brought together real estate leaders, stakeholders and academics from across the region to discuss the industry’s most pressing topics and developments specifically related to the GCC region.

“Damac is committed to best practices in the real estate industry. We welcome and support any measures that will bring increased transparency, communication and regulation to the industry,” said Niall Mc Loughlin, senior vice president, Damac Properties.

“Damac currently has projects at various stages across its entire portfolio, throughout the Mena region."

"We actively encourage and support Menares and the vision for a stable and sustainable real estate industry across the Middle East and North Africa. The conference was an insightful couple of days and I am greatly looking forward to working with Menares to recognise its vision,” he added.

The first real estate society of its kind in the Mena region, the society aims to foster discussion, research and collaboration across borders with the sole purpose of bettering the real estate industry through policy and development. – TradeArabia News Service
