Victory Heights delivers over 50pc of villas
Dubai, June 9, 2010
Victory Heights, a 961-unit golfing residential project located in Dubai, has handed over more than 50 per cent of its luxury villas under phase I to the homeowners, with the 500th villa owner moving into the community, said its top official.
Victory Heights is a Dh2.5 billion ($680.6 million) joint venture between the Bahraini investment bank Arcapita, and Dubai Sports City, the world’s first integrated sports city.
The news of Victory Heights’ success on delivery comes just weeks after the developer announced that construction had been completed on 81 per cent of the community’s phase-one homes, said a statement from Victory Heights.
Keys to the 500th villa – No 91 Esmeralda village – were handed over to new homeowner Mohamed Ansari by Talal Chihabi, head of sales and market at Victory Heights.
“Handing over the keys to our 500th villa in Esmeralda village is an important milestone in delivery of phase one of Victory Heights, and shows that we are moving ahead on the full completion of all our luxury homes.'
'The villa handover means that 63 per cent of all sold villas in Victory Heights are now in the possession of homeowners,' remarked Chihabi.
'We are proud of this unique project and pledge to continue to deliver high quality homes and beautifully landscaped green spaces for all our residents to enjoy,' he added.
“When I saw the Victory Heights villas I was very impressed with their spacious design and location, which means as a family of five we have plenty of space to live together comfortably,” said an excited Ansari, whose parents also own a villa in Victory Heights – No 24 Esmeralda village – which they moved into three weeks ago.
“The sporting amenities being built at the community centre are also a big draw, I like jogging and going to the gym, and my kids also enjoy sport, so we will be making full use of the new community centre once it opens,” he added.
Building work has also recently commenced on the project’s first community centre which will offer residents a wide range of recreational facilities, including swimming pools, children’s play areas, basketball courts and BBQ areas.
The villas in Victory Heights are built in three different styles; authentic Spanish Andalusian, bold Mediterranean, and classic European styles, which surround the greens of the award-winning The Els Club golf course, giving the development a green and peaceful atmosphere, he said.
Victory Heights lies at the heart of Dubai Sports City which later this year will be home to five Sporting Academies offering world-class coaching to children of all ages in football, hockey, rugby, swimming and cricket.
The development also hosts the International Cricket Stadium, where national and international cricket and football matches are played, as well as The Els Club and The Butch Harmon School of Golf where golfers of all levels and ages can practice their game.-TradeArabia News Service
