The Qatar-Bahrain Causeway (QBC), a 40 kilometre-long road and rail carriageway, will be discussed in detail at an upcoming event on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of next generation bridges in Qatar.

In partnership with the Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Foundation, Bridges Middle East - Qatar Summit is set to take place from April 11 to 14 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha.

With massive infrastructure development activities taking place in Qatar, this event will be a key venue to highlight potential opportunities for Bahrain's and Qatar's future development, a statement said.

Top industry leaders representing governments and municipalities, industry projects, academia, private organisations and solution providers from across the globe will address current topics and challenges relevant to bridge planning, standards, construction and maintenance in the region.

An exhibition area will feature the latest innovative solutions in conventional and intermodal bridge design and construction.

The event is already expected to attract over 200 attendees, nearly three times as many delegates as normally estimated, the statement added. – TradeArabia News Service
