CPC to supply material for Saudi’s tallest tower

Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) will supply construction materials to the King Abdulaziz Endowment project in Makkah, which consists of the tallest building in Saudi Arabia.

The landmark construction project, consisting of seven massive towers, is the tallest and largest concrete building in Saudi Arabia, and will involve CPC’s subsidiaries - Premco Precast Concrete Company and the United Arab Aluminum Company.

The tallest tower in the complex is Tower (H), which will be 591 meters high. The project is also the largest project in terms of area, which is estimated at 1.5 million sqm.

'The factories of CPC will supply the precast concrete works  through  manufacturing 450 thousand sqm for cladding of outside walls (facades) and trims (GRC), and 300 thousand sqm of light weight internal partitions (Acotec), and the manufacturing of 25 thousand prefabricated toilets,' stated Dr Faysal Alaquil, director, Business Development and Administrative Affairs and  official spokesman for CPC.

'This is in addition to the nearly 60,000 sqm of aluminum and glass works to be manufactured and installed by United Arab Aluminum Company, located in CPC’s industrial complex in Bahra. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid 2010.'

'The project, which is composed of seven towers, will be a multi purpose development consisting of several international hotels, in view of its unique location beside Makkah's Holy Mosque.'-TradeArabia News Service
