Al Saraya sells 70pc of island project

Bahrain-based Al Saraya Properties, a pioneer in land development, has sold 70 per cent of a newly launched residential project in Amwaj Islands, a group of man-made islands in northeast Bahrain, said a top official of the company.
'Al Saraya has managed to sell 70 per cent of the newly launched project, Marsa 2 in Amwaj Islands,” confirmed Redha Mukhtar, general manager of Al Saraya Properties.
“Consisting of 26 villas, most of which overlook the sea are in a closed community near the Lagoona and Faye Beach projects,” he added. “The construction of the project started in March, 2009, and is expected for the project to be completed by the end of 2010.”
“This year, we are planning to launch several other unique and extraordinary projects, including the Al Fareeda project in Saar and in order to diversify and change the course of investment, and maintain the objectives of the company to ensure the continuity of development in the long-run,” Mukhtar continued.
