UAE hospitality group Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) has awarded Al Jaber Engineering and Contracting (Alec), the contract to build the luxury Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas Abu Dhabi at the Saadiyat Island.

The Saadiyat Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas Abu Dhabi, a 75,000 sq m luxury resort of premium accommodation, dining and leisure facilities on the northern beach of  Saadiyat Island, is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2011.

It will have 316 rooms, suites and villas in addition to four signature restaurants and dedicated facilities for conferences, banqueting and recreation.

As per the agreement signed today, Alec will be the main contractor for this world class development and will be responsible for all construction, building and finishing works for the hotel, its facilities and villas.

'This includes construction of the building’s foundation, shell and envelope, as well as interior finishes including fixtures, furniture and fittings,' said ADNH chairman Saif Mohammed Al Hajeri after the signing ceremony.

'Such moves help boost the UAE’s travel and tourism sector into new horizons by providing the relevant infrastructure.'
