Damac Jumeirah Village projects on track

Dubai, May 18, 2009

Damac Properties, Dubai-based luxury lifestyle provider, has reaffirmed that each of its three projects under construction at Jumeirah Village South continues to progress well.

At the first phase of its Emirates Gardens development, interior works are now well under way with plastering, ceramics, ducting, piping and wiring now in progress at the three low rise buildings, said a company official.

Meanwhile at Emirates Gardens II, construction work has now reached the roof slab with two out of the further three buildings completed and the third one in progress.

In addition elevator installation is due to commence shortly. Emirates Gardens will be fully completed by the beginning of next year – with phase one expected to be handed over this summer.

Also on site at Jumeirah Village, is Tuscan Residences – a further three building complex which is due to complete next year.

Currently the three four storey buildings are about to reach the second floor. All of Damac Properties projects at the Nakheel master development are based on Mediterranean style architecture with the apartments internally styled in either Arabic or more Mediterranean overtones.

Damac Properties CEO Peter Riddoch said that the progress on all levels at the sites at Jumeirah Village send out an important message to customers.

“Whether we are starting to work inside at a property such as Emirates Gardens One or still at the earlier stages of main construction at Tuscan Residences, we are showing that we are serious about delivery,’ he said.

‘This is important for us as we have stated out intention to deliver more than 7,100 units by the end of 2010 and projects such as Jumeirah Village South are an important contribution to that figure.’

"Drivers using the Emirates Road will have noticed the external painting at Phase One of Emirates Gardens with the building being finished in a range of eye catching golden and orange hues with pale brickwork to highlight the Mediterranean feel of the development," he noted.

Emirates Gardens will offer studio, one and two bedroom apartments amongst a waterside setting with walkways and cycle trails through the surrounding gardens for residents to enjoy.

The four storey residental buildings will also have a range of retail units, cafes and restaurants on the ground floor.

The ideal central location of Jumeirah Village with close links to Media and Internet City and also Jebel Ali Free Zone means it will appeal to a wide range of customers.

Facilities for residents at Jumeirah village will also be well provided with two locally based international schools, medical facilities, veterinary clinics and country clubs nearby.

‘We have been working in partnership with our contractors on site to maintain our focus and to promote the importance of showing continued construction and delivery. We hope that the different stages of progress at these three sites demonstrates that it is very much business as usual for Damac Properties," he added.

‘We are particularly pleased that we are now in the final stages of work at Phase One of our Emirates Gardens development and look forward to seeing this first milestone project at Jumeirah Village reach a successful conclusion this summer.’-TradeArabia News Service
