Durrat to be managed by property leader

Riyadh, May 6, 2009

Durrat Arriyadh, the first gated residential neighbourhood in Saudi Arabia, will receive management and technical support from Al Khozama Management Company (AKMC), a leader in the development and management of luxurious commercial properties.

Covering a vast area of over three million square metres, the Durrat Arriyadh development is due for completion in the first quarter of 2010.

“Investing in and managing Durrat Arriyadh comes in line with our strategy to manage and invest in the hospitality sector across Saudi Arabia,” said Musaed Al Saeed, CEO of AKMC.

“The project arises from our vision and aspiration to build a green healthy community, as part of our commitment towards the future of Saudi Arabia."

The residential development will incorporate the highest standards of architecture, design, construction and landscaping.

Durrat Arriyadh will offer an exclusive lifestyle to 6,700 select residents, with a wide range of premium facilities that include schools, playgrounds, mosques and shops, all set in lush rolling parkland with panoramic views over the Central Garden.

At the heart of the development will be the 114,000 sq mt Durrat Arriyadh Hotel & Resort, with three signature indoor and outdoor restaurants, as well as 28 private, lavishly appointed villas.

AKMC has been at the forefront of commercial property development and management across the Kingdom since 1995 and boasts a diverse portfolio that includes some of the country's most iconic hospitality, retail and mixed-used complexes.

“We are pleased to be part of this unique concept, which represents a green-living community; which highlights our dedication to perfecting the life experience through continuous innovation and the highest standards of hospitality,” concluded Al Saeed. – TradeArabia News Service
