French team visits Qatar's Al Wa’ab City

Doha, April 8, 2009

The Al Wa’ab City Management recently hosted the Medef delegation from France which was on a visit to its multi-media Customer Relations Centre.

Officials from the Al Wa’ab City Management presented the various components of their flagship project, including the cutting-edge masterplanning, the latest technologies deployed at the construction site and shared expertise and insight of the local industry.

Al Wa’ab City and the Medef businessmen discussed the potential business and investment opportunities available with a focus on the premium retail and commercial accommodations within Barahat Al Wa’ab, Al Wa’ab City’s 44,000 sq m Piazza.

They also discussed the main success backbones which are set to render Al Wa’ab City into Qatar’s most distinctive community and a prime commercial hub and lifestyle destination.

The visit ended with an overview of the Al Wa’ab City’s design concepts behind the Al Lewan and Hattan villas – 2 ultra-luxurious residential settings which are expected to be complete in 2009.

The delegation took a first glimpse at Barahat Al Wa’ab which promises to be Doha’s retail and entertainment destination of choice.

“The visit also reinforces the fact that we, at Al Wa’ab City, are introducing innovative practices into the development of world-class, large-scale real estate projects,” said Carla Issa, vice president of sales & marketing.

Al Wa’ab City is Qatar’s first family-planned community and a multi-use development conveniently located along one of Doha’s main arterial roads and in close proximity to some of Doha’s major academic institutions and sporting facilities.

Al Wa’ab City integrates a wide variety of housing styles and options, small- and large-scale retail, low-rise offices, health facilities, and a world-class 200-room luxury hotel surrounding the 44,000 sqm urban piazza - 'Barahat Al Wa’ab'.

Al Wa’ab City will be home to more than 8,000 people in approximately 2,000 residential units. The development spreads over an area of approximately 1.25 million sqm with over 10,700 underground parking lots.

Al Wa’ab City is expected to be substantially completed in 2010.-TradeArabia News Service
