iCrete launches new concrete mixes
Dubai, April 2, 2009
iCrete, a premier concrete technology company, has recently introduced customised and patented high-strength concrete mixes designed for use by providers of precast and pre-stressed concrete.
The new mixes are now available in North America, the Middle East, and the Far East, according to a company statement.
iCrete’s new product family for the precast industry will feature speed in application and setting – optimising faster, more efficient turnarounds for precast molds. It consumes less cement while providing exceptional reliablity and workability – reducing surface defects and repairs.
It lets the production of thinner and stronger sections, which offer a much wider range of engineering and architectural options, as well as lower costs – leveraging reductions in cement content and work hours.
“We are now bringing to the precast market a proven technical breakthrough already in use for highly trafficked pavement and high rise structures,” said Said Juan Carlos Terroba, iCrete’s chief executive officer.
“iCrete mixes and quality systems will revolutionize the precast methods used for construction of pre-fabricated buildings and industrial parks, as well as the building of major pipelines, sewers, bridges, roads, tunnels, and railways.”
Dr Manfred Sautner, senior vice president and head of iCrete product development said: “We are projecting unprecedented precast and pre-stressed production savings per cubic yard, while improving workability.”
“Moreover, according to our research, millions of dollars in public money can be saved on vast infrastructure and public works projects by adopting iCrete higher strength, clean technology in the production of precast concrete,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
