Vivid structure success
Abu Dhabi, April 1, 2009
The Marlboro Vivid lounge, made by Vivid, builders of cost-effective structures, successfully withstood heavy rains at the Coldplay event held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement.
The Marlboro Vivid lounge is owned by Vivid Event Services who provide inflatable alternative venues.
“The Cube was a spectacular sight against the dark night, illuminated in bright red light that could be seen for miles away,” said Kristina Hall, Vivid event services business development director.
Unlike marquees, Vivid structures only take a couple of hours to build and do not require heavy machinery, plus they don’t damage the ground on which they are built.
“The structures are made of a heavy duty thick vinyl that is filled with air and therefore a double wall structure, so the air does not escape easily – they are therefore easier to cool and require less air-conditioning,” added Hall.
“For road-shows, concerts, festivals and events there are no better structures – we have currently 10 units available in various sizes and the demand is so great we will have to get 10 more very soon.
“In an economic downturn it is refreshing to be part of a new company start up and grow so rapidly, we are very proud of the achievements to date and excited about the possibilities for this business,” she said.
The Vivid structures have been seen at every recent event in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and are set to be at many more in the coming months.
“As a cost effective, easy to build structure it is proving very popular” said one of the organisers of the Coldplay concert.
