CMCS to open new offices in Bahrain, Saudi

Dubai, February 24, 2009

Collaboration, Management and Control Solutions (CMCS) will carry out a region-wide campaign in preparation of new offices to be opened in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The leading provider of project and portfolio management solutions and an authorized representative of Primavera in the Middle East will also broaden its operations in Jordan, Qatar, and Lebanon that it launched in 2008.

The strengthening of Middle Eastern presence in 2009 is said to have come about as a follow-up to 50 per cent revenue growth in 2008 and a more than 25 per cent increase in the number of employees in 2008 despite challenging regional and global economic conditions.

CMCS started off 2009 with the launch of a roadshow plan that will span the entire region throughout the year; it will soon co-organise a major user event with Oracle Primavera as well. The company’s goal is to familiarise key sectors throughout the region with the best project management practices and their indispensable value amidst the current economic crisis.

In 2008, the company secured partnerships with major companies such as BARWA Real Estate and Al Habtoor Leighton Group, among others. It also conducted 95 public training courses attended by 953 delegates and organized 185 in-house training sessions for 1,707 trainees as part of its certified products and accredited project management & value engineering training programs, reinforcing its commitment to helping organizations maximize the potential of their personnel.

CMCS’ inclusion of the Hard Dollar project cost management and Synchro 4-dimensional construction simulation software solutions to its product portfolio last year further increased demand for its services.

“Our exceptional performance in 2008 reflects how project management (PM) solutions have become essential to the viability of the region’s key sectors, which continue to be significantly affected by today’s challenging economic conditions,” said Bassam Samman, CEO and founder, CMCS. “Our products and services enable businesses to significantly reduce operational costs and ensure timely handover. We look forward to another growth period in 2009, as we expect the construction and real estate sectors in particular to seek our assistance in streamlining their projects to adjust to present market realities.”

During the Primavera authorised representative (PAR) meeting in  January 2009 in London, CMCS was presented the 4 Million Dollar Club award for 2008 for achieving $4 million or more in revenues, becoming the first-ever PAR to receive the recognition and the only recipient of the award for the year.

The company was also honoured in the top performer new license – international category and handed the 2008 Prima Club award for achieving 100 per cent or more of its annual plan. CMCS has thus received a total of 49 awards from Primavera since their partnership started in 1984.

CMCS’ comprehensive range of PM services includes professional consultancy, organizational PM maturity assessment, PM office setup and rollout, development of integrated PM methodology and procedures, and earned value management system solutions, among others. – TradeArabia News Service
