Los Angeles , August 26, 2008
Nakheel and the Trump Organisation launched the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah at a star-studded event in Los Angeles.
Nakheel executive chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO Chris O’Donnell and director of sales, marketing and customer service, Manal Shaheen and Donald J Trump, chairman of the Trump Organisation, attended the launch.
The event is a follow-up to the global sales launch that took place in New York in June, said a Nakheel official.
“We are thrilled by the success of the project so far. It has exceeded everyone’s expectations with record sales in Dubai. Trump International Hotel & Tower is destined to become the next great Dubai icon of ultimate luxury,” said Shaheen.
The premier luxury hotel and residential tower, one of the most anticipated new builds in Dubai and Trump's first in the region, began construction in July.
The 62-storey, stainless steel tower will be the tallest structure on Palm Jumeirah and is expected to be completed in summer 2011.-TradeArabia News Service
