Kirby expands into Turkey
Istanbul, May 22, 2008
Kirby Building Systems, a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Alghanim Industries, has launched a new unit in Turkey.
The joint stock company, Kirby Yapi Sistemleri Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, is registered in Istanbul.
“Expanding into Turkey was a logical choice for Kirby,” said group general manager Praveen Tandon.
Turkey is a dynamic emerging market with the construction and retail sectors experiencing a boom, he said.
Kirby’s steel pre-engineered buildings (PEB) are designed and manufactured to international standards for a wide range of applications such as warehouses, factories, aircraft hangars, commercial centres, offices, recreation centres and showrooms. The major advantages of PEB compared to concrete buildings are lower costs, faster construction time, lower maintenance cost, large clear span interiors and ease of expansion, Tandon said.
Kirby is well positioned as the global leader in PEB with activities spread across over 70 countries and production capacity exceeding 400,000 MT.
“Kirby is reputed for providing customers with cost effective solutions and has created more than 35,000 landmark projects globally,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
