Al Reef development, a project comprising 2,300 themed villas and 1,800 apartments being constructed outside the capital city, will be completed by 2010.

The project, dedicated to the middle income segment, is aimed at bridging the housing problems of people in Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi due to its strategic location. It is in close proximity to Abu Dhabi city, Dubai, Al Ain, and the upcoming Maktoum International airport near Jebel Ali.

The development covers about 1 million sq m, with a value of over Dh3 billion, a report in Khaleej Times said.
