Alumco’s engineers and designers have already started on the project design and installation will commence at the beginning of 2008.
The projects architects are US-based TVS and UAE-based Dewan El Emara. Alumco’s work is expected to be completed by end of 2008.
Alumco’s engineering team working closely with the international façade consultants Meinhardt have customized a special unitised system to be used for the tower.
The unique façade system has been designed to withstand high wind loads reaching up to 6 KPA on some spots of the building by its specially designed double glass units, each proposed unit consist of 8mm outer pane, 12 mm airspace and 8mm inner pane.
The design also gives the maximum allowed area for the vision panels with the unique type of glass allowing high light transmission.-TradeArabia News Service
