Omniyat chief among top GCC CEOs
Dubai, December 6, 2007
Omniyat Properties president and chief executive officer Mehdi Amjad has been named one of the GCC’s top 100 CEOs.
The survey was conducted by leading business publication CEO Middle East.
The accolade reviewed executives with the most astute business acumen in the GCC who had been at the helm of achieving significant business goals within the past year in regard to financial growth, project completion, brand expansion or consolidation, the company said in a statement.
Mehdi Amjad gained this recognition in light of his achievements with Almasa Holdings, Omniyat Holdings and Omniyat Properties. Mehdi has taken Almasa Holdings from a Dh1 million start-up to a Dh2-billion company in 10 years.
He then repeated his “Midas touch” approach with the establishment of Omniyat Properties. Within a mere two years, Omniyat Properties has successfully launched and almost sold out seven unique projects in Dubai, some of which have already gained worldwide acclaim and won multiple awards, the company said.
Omniyat Properties has doubled the value of its portfolio from five billion Dirhams at the end of 2006 to now Dh10 billion, and is set to again double it to around Dh20 billion by the end of 2008.
“Such achievements are never the result of one-person alone. This success would not have been possible without the commitment, dedication and hard work of every member of the Almasa and Omniyat teams,” said Amjad. – TradeArabia News Service
