Aldar Properties sales soar at Cityscape

Dubai, October 24, 2007

Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's first and leading property developer, made business worth more than Dh1 billion ($272 million) during Cityscape Dubai 2007.

Interest shown for Al Bandar and Khor Al Raha, two projects that were showcased at the exhibition, was extremely strong, said an Aldar official.

It registered booking confirmation of over Dh750 million and a further Dh300 million from investors for land plots at Al Raha Beach totaling more than Dh1 billion. Construction milestones have now been reached on time at both projects, demonstrating Aldar's capacity to uphold high industry standards, the official added.

'I was very pleased with the level of interest shown in our properties and enthusiasm of participants I've met at this year's Cityscape Dubai. The quality of interaction with our customers and partners - and the interest levels in ALDAR's developments - has been outstanding and demonstrates the level of confidence and trust people have in ALDAR to deliver quality properties to international standards,' said CEO, Aldar Ronald Barrott.

Aldar was also a platinum sponsor at the event, which focused on the real estate boom in the UAE. - TradeArabia News Service
