Kuwait firm buys new plot at Al Areen

Manama, September 18, 2007

Kuwait-based Al Zamil International Real Estate Company has acquired a second land parcel at the Al Areen development covering 23,000sq m.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Al Zamil board member Zayed Mohammad Al Zamil and Al Areen Holding Company general manager Waleed Saffy.

Al Zamil International Real Estate Company announced earlier this year its intention to develop a medical centre on an area of 63,000sq m within the Al Areen.

The Al Areen Medical Complex will include several facilities including a five-star wellness centre.

Al Zamil said Bahrain enjoys a very stable atmosphere for foreign investment and his company is developing many projects in the kingdom.

"So far Kuwaiti investments in the Al Areen development exceed 50 per cent. This percentage is expected to rise with the strong economic and social relations between Bahrain and Kuwait," he said. - TradeArabia News Service
