Nakheel developments in focus

Nakheel’s 17 projects that carry an investment value exceeding $30 billion were the focus of a high-profile meeting.
Suzanne Mubarak, wife of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, visited the offices of Dubai World’s flagship property developer Nakheel, accompanied by Princess Haya bint Al Hussain, wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Chris O’Donell, CEO, Nakheel, and his senior executives gave the First Lady and the Princess a detailed presentation of Nakheel’s 17 projects that carry an investment value exceeding $30 billion.
They were also shown a documentary film on the iconic Palm Islands and The World, the largest man-made islands in the world designed to accommodate up to two million inhabitants and to increase by 50 per cent the number of hotels operating in Dubai.
Suzanne Mubarak also toured the Palm islands, where she said the iconic projects were a testimony to the architectural and social development progress achieved by the UAE.
Egyptian First Lady, who was presented a memento marking her visit to Nakheel, was accompanied during by Ibrahim Hafez, the Egyptian Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and a media delegation.
Mrs Mubarak was visiting the UAE to receive the “Rashid Human Personality Award” which was conferred on her recently while she was attending the 3rd conference of the Higher Council of the Arab Woman Organisation in Abu Dhabi. TradeArabia News Service
