Saudi watchdog slaps work ban on Bishah chairman

Riyadh, December 8, 2009

The Saudi regulator has banned the former chairman of Bishah Agricultural Development Co from working for any listed firm for seven years, it said on Monday.

In August, the Capital Markets Authority had sentenced Najm-Eddine bin-Ahmad Dhafer to three months in jail for insider trading.

Two other former board members were handed a similar ban of one year each, the regulator said in a statement on the bourse website. - Reuters
