Dubai Diamond Exchange moves to new office

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has launched a new premises and trading floor for the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), a report said.

The new facilities in Almas Tower in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers includes a 1,500 sqm trading floor featuring public trading facilities, private viewing rooms and sophisticated technical instruments to inspect diamonds, fully automated vaulting facilities and digital market information, according to the Gulf News report.

Also available are service providers including shipping agents, customs inspections and facilities for diamond boiling, guaranteeing a smooth flow of goods and services.

The DDE which began operations four years ago, now has a 350-member platform serving the Middle East markets and is a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.

DDE will also begin a monthly 'Polished Diamonds Sales Weeks' from January next year, offering a wide range of goods which were earlier available only to overseas diamond centres.
