In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership, KPMG, a leading provider of a full range of audit, tax and advisory services, has announced the promotion of two of its directors in Kuwait to the role of partners.

This decision saw Salman Bin Khalid and Muhammad Hanan Tariq advance in position as Partner in Audit and Partner in Tax & Corporate Services respectively, thus taking the firm’s leadership tally to 11,  said KPMG in a statement.

Salman has 18+ years of experience with Big 4 firms in Audit, Assurance and Accounting Advisory, five of which he has spent in KPMG Kuwait’s Audit function.

In his tenure at KPMG Kuwait, he has provided Audit and Assurance services to leading financial service organizations and driven crucial initiatives such as the firm’s Audit Internship Program as well as its System of Quality Management (SoQM) process.

On Hanan, KPMG said he has over 18 years of accounting, tax compliance and advisory experience in the Middle East, which comprises advising clients on tax compliance matters and major tax structuring of joint ventures for mega projects in the region.

Hanan has been involved in advising companies with respect to inbound investment in Kuwait. He has assisted major multinational companies in structuring their operations in Kuwait in a tax-efficient manner and provided detailed advice in respect of the application of various tax treaties with Kuwait, said the statement.
