Al Salam launches revamped multi-currency prepaid card drive

MANAMA, February 18, 2023

Following the success of last year's campaign, Bahrain-based Al Salam Bank has announced the launch of its new multi-currency prepaid Visa card campaign. The revamped initiative will enable one winner to receive a cash prize of BD1,000 from monthly draws held throughout the campaign period until December 2023.
 
During the campaign period, clients are eligible to enter the raffle for every BD50 worth of total purchases using Al Salam Bank's prepaid Visa card in US Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling, or Turkish Lira, said the bank in a statement. 
 
Youth clients aged 10 to below 18 years – are also eligible to participate in the campaign by issuing a prepaid Visa card at any of the bank's branches or through Al Salam Mobile App. 
 
The card can be used for online purchases or to buy electronic games, as specified by the campaign's terms and conditions, it stated.
 
On the campaign, Mohammed Buhijji, the Head of Retail Banking, said: "We witnessed a successful turnout in the first edition of our multi-currency prepaid Visa card campaign. As a result, we have launched an updated version of the initiative that will provide both current and new clients with the exclusive opportunity to win BD1,000 monthly. Due to its many benefits and features, we encourage all of our clients to make use of their multi-currency prepaid Visa card to complete their non-cash transactions."
 
Al Salam Bank's multi-currency prepaid Visa card includes several features, including the ability to earn loyalty points in the rewards program, receive exclusive offers and discounts available on the Bahrain Life platform, enjoy highly secure transactions through a smart chip, easily top up for the Visa card through Al Salam Bank’s mobile app, Benefit gateway or any of the Bank’s branches with up to BD 10,000, and withdraw up to BD500 from ATMs. 
 
"We urge our clients to increase their usage rate throughout the campaign period, thereby boosting their chances of entering the draw," he stated.
 
According to him, the Visa card offers a seamless experience as it is globally accepted, provides users with instant SMS notifications, allows them to receive and view monthly estatements. 
 
The bank’s multi-currency Visa card does not charge any currency exchange fees as it automatically carries out transactions in the currency of the purchase, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
